1 Nephi 20
The Lord reveals his purposes to Israel—They have been chosen in the furnace of affliction and are to go forth from Babylon—Compare Isaiah 48. Between 588 and 570 B.C.
These chapters always trip me up. They definatly require some thought. But, whenever I get to them it's not a convienent time for me to sit and ponder. Like this morning, I have to get all my decorating done and clean the house, and go get another Christmas tree. So, here's my best reflecting, it seems that many times those who are living a covenant life tend to be seperated from those who are not. Now days, I think that means to live a different type of life, no matter who you are surrounded by. But to figuratively flee from "Babylon".
